Unusual hydroponic christmas gifts?

Anyone ask for anything that a normal person would find unusual for christmas?

I ask this because for Christmas I asked the wife to get me 100lbs of sand. I think the going rate at lowes is like $5.00 total.

I want to start carrots again (I failed last time) so I need some sand. I'm just too poor at the moment to buy it for myself. So I asked for it for Christmas.

Anyone else ask for stuff that normal people might find odd?

I asked for 3 blue 55 gallon drums from a buddy of mine who works for the army.
I had to give him a paragraph write up telling the base why I wanted their "trash"

"Normal" people find me odd, so "anything" I ask for fit's the bill.

Since you asked, my (grown) family is using Elfster this year as a secret Santa and I asked for 2" net pots.

EVERYBODY in the family has asked, "What the heck is a net pot?"
