| I have never heard of needing a particular pH for a foliar spray. Perhaps different types of plants might like a particular pH for such a thing but I'm sure that number is different for different types of plants or different types of sprays. I would only warn against extremes. I know that vinegar can be used as a herbicide so it stands to reason that a really strongly acid foliar spray would be a bad thing. I also know that baking soda is some times used in a spray to combat certain diseases but a too strongly alkaline spray could probably be detrimental too. Foliar sprays are usually somewhat dilute so unless you are dealing with something extreem, there is probably not much reason to worry about the pH. That is just my guess. |
