Hedge suggestions--Help!

I'm trying to find an evergreen hedge that will grow about 5-6 feet tall I can plant near a horse fence. I need to camo the fence because it's really ugly. I need something horses won't eat or if they do they won't get sick. I live in a micro climate so sometimes we get to -25 degrees. Any suggestions?

it' not evergreen but spirea works great as a hedge. How are things in N Idaho, snow gone yet?

I'll look into those Spirea come spring. It's still snowing where I'm at but with an occasional rain and sunny day it's starting to melt.
