Hi everyone! I just stumbled across Gardenweb and this forum and I am tickled pink to have found it! So I'm jumping right in with a question. I've read a few posts about growing watermelons but I didn't see if any were growin in southeastern Idaho, around the Pocatello area. Has anyone in our southeastern corner had any luck with watermelons? We have a medium size garden spot and would like to try something new. Watermelons won out the disucssion on what we will grow. Thanks for any advice!

RE: watermelons

Hello gutshot

Just up the road from you in Idaho Falls and havn't gardened in several years but plan on changing that this year. Watermelons are rather hard to grow here but some of the early ones might do ok but don't expect them to be super sweet as the heat has something to do with their taste.
