I grow Tempo--impatiens wallerianna--every year. Tempo is slightly earlier than your shady lady. I start them mid March inside on a heating mat on my window sill then transplant them into individual containers and move to my greenhouse in Mid April. They are starting to bloom when I set them outside in the first part of June--I live in zone 3 and our last frost date is the end of May. If you figure it out that is close to 2 months. If you started yours a week or 2 earlier it would be about right.

You have to really watch the watering. They like to be moist but damp off easily if given too much water. I use damp off in my water and I mist the seeds and or plants 3 or 4 times a day with room temp. water with damp off added. Use a humidity cover to keep the moisture in. Bottom heat helps too if you have a heating mat. Mine was about $30 and is 9'x19". They are great for starting all kinds of seeds not just impatiens.

I never tried to grow new guinnea impatiens so I can't tell you about them
