Impatiens omeiana - propagation

Hallo. This is my first post to the Impatiens forum, mainly because I had assumed in my ignorance that the only Impatiens relevant to gardeners were the brightly coloured bedding plants (although I was also aware of the wildly invasive I. glandulifera).

However, yeterday at an RHS London flower show, I picked up a pot of Impatiens omeiana, with lovely, felty, silver-veined, purple-backed foliage. I'd love to have a carpet of it in my garden; is it as easy as bedding Impatiens to strike cuttings?

Also, I did a search for it on this forum and read that it won't self-pollinate; if I made new plants from its cuttings, would they pollinate each other? (Is that a stupid question?)
