limp leaves and stems

I have some new impatiens on my patio-both are in containers. One is a new guinea impatiens and the other is the regular variety. Some of the leaves and stems are going limp. I think it is from overwatering. I gave them some fertilizer and watered and the next day we got a downpour. Will they bounce back on their own in a few days if I let the soil dry out a little? Or was the problem caused by something else? Any help is appreciated.
