Can I separate Impatiens seedlings?

I planted Impatiens indoors for the first time and planted 3-4 seeds per seed cell. If they all grow, is it possible to carefully separate the seedlings from each other when transplanting into bigger pots?

Yes, providing it's done before seedling roots become too entangled. Be careful to not crush the stems......

I wouldn't do this at the seedling stage. Pot up the little clump into 2 or 3 inch pots then, if you use a light compost, when you come to plant on you will find they fall apart naturally. If you do this when they are very small you will lose a lot. Personally I wait until they are beginning to flower, then I can choose the best colors.
