I. omiana starting to flower

Last fall I had to dig up my I. omeiana due to some construction in my back yard. I kept them in pots over the winter, and since we are moving to North Carolina this summer, I decided to leave them in their pots. Friday I noticed that a plant in one pot (out of about ten) has several flowers buds about to open. In previous years, all of the plants would bloom at the same time in late October or early November, just before our first frost. In fact, I am not sure if their failure to set seed is due to the cold weather or to the fact that the spread by underground (rhizomes?) Anyone here ever had them bloom late spring and have you ever seen seed on these plants?
