impatiens as house plants

Greetings

Years ago my father-in-law had a fine impatiens that did very well as a house plant for many years. This year we bought some bedding plants and my wife wants to pot one for the house. Father-in-law is long gone so I wonder if anyone may have any advice on raising one this way.

I would grow the Impatiens in a bright indirect light. If they start looking leggy give them more light. Impatiens started out as house plants but they always perform better as garden plants. Watch out for spider mite in dry air.

They are REALLY easy to grow inside. East or west window, full Sun. Like outside keep moist. Feed every 2-3 weeks with half strength Miracle grow or 10-10-10, 20-20-20 fertilzer. Cutting root very readily. They make a great house plant!
