balfourii heat tolerance

| I've got a nice patch blooming nicely and wonder how heat tolerant they are. This is Louisiana and it is already stifling hot and it will stay that way til Oct. Will they peter out after a month or two? I've got glandulifera too- what about them? |

Frank My balfourii are blooming nicely as well. Towards the end of summer is when they start dieing off on me. I can get temps into the 100s but its a dry heat. Sometimes I will get a few that survive in sheltered areas of the garden, some will even go through winter but die in spring. My glandulifera don't seem to like my heat much at all and I have trouble growing them at my current location. In cool shade they were much happier. |
