Bloom pattern dissapeared

I bought some impatiens and overwintered them indoors, as soon as it warmed up I put the pot outside in a shady spot. The blooms USED to have a white star pattern on them but after a month I'm getting plain, solid colored blooms. The tree(redbud) that shades them has leafed out a lot and the branches are forming and umbrella. Too much shade? need fertilizer? How do I get the star pattern back? Any suggestions welcome!

These hybrids have an unstable patterning to them. They just do that. It will come back, some flower will look perfect some will have a white spot here and there. Breeders cant get the patterning to stablize. If you like the star like pattern, try the star dust series these do not change.
