New Guinea Impatiens - some not flowering

we bought one flat of red and and one flat of white colored new guinea impatiens on mother's day. we planted them a week later mixing white and red in sequence - and since the white ones are noticably growing and blooming flowers. but the red ones are lush green and look like they might be growing larger, but there are NO flowers & no buds. we've fertilized them with miracle grow a few days ago.
is this normal for white to flower quicker than the red? how long would i have to wait to know that there is a problem with the red ones?
this is my first gardening experience and i am worried i killed the red ones!
OH - they are in sun/partial shade, and get watered daily.

Well if they are gorwing you didnt kill them that is for sure :)Sometimes heat will cause them not to flower or they just need to settle in. Try some bloom food that my help.

Patience is a very important quality in a gardner. Fertilizer should not be used unless it is really and truly required by the plant. For flowering plants, it is a good idea to be extremely conservative with high N fertilizers and use the high P products.

You have no idea of the seeding sequence of the red and white flowers that you purchased....they may have been started weeks behind the others. The white ones will begin to bud and bloom as long as you haven't put so much N (nitrogen) to them that all they want to do is grow new leaves!

Since this is your first gardening experience, I assume that you don't know how to decipher the fertilizer analysis on your product? What are the 3 numbers on your container of Miracle Gro? 20-20-20?

I have a guinea impatiens hanging plant. It was full of blooms when i bought it but the flowers all fell off and don't look like they will bloom again. There are no buds at all but the leaves look very healthy...
