I have some to realize that they need more sun shine than most people think. Try moving to a sunner location and watch them start to bud. But make sure that you keep them well watered.

Great, thanks. I acutally did do that this weekend and one of them is starting to bud up. It loves the morning sun. The other one, well, it's dying. The leaves are shriveling up. He can't stand the heat as well, I guess.

my new guinea impatients are in a large clay pot,outside, in full sun....i water them everyday, have never fertilized them and they have bloomed beautifully...they can take a lot of sun but need lots of water to keep from wilting....

I have one container which holds 2 now very large New Guinea Impatients. I've actually been trying to kill them these last couple of months, as I have them in a beautiful container that I wanted to put a different plant in. Well, the plant just won't die (haha). So, I've decided that since I can't kill it, I'll see if I can get it to bloom. Any advice? The plants stay pretty moist, but don't get much in the way of sunlight. Should I introduce some fertilizer to help encourage blooms? The plants have been putting out lots of leaves lately, but are looking a bit scraggy after so much neglect. How can I make them look beautiful again? Any help would be great :)
