Impatiens still have tiny leaves

| I planted a bunch of impatiens under a burgundy plum tree about a month ago. They are blooming like crazy, but they still have very small leaves and are not bushing up. I had put some Plant-tone there under the tree a couple weeks ago. I water nearly every day, too. Why are the impatiens still mini? |

| Your Impatiens are competeing with the roots from the tree for water and nutrients and growing space. They are never going to get as big as ones that are in a bed where there is no tree. Be thankful that they are blooming like crazy and don't expect them to get big |
