Impatiens not growing

I had a beautiful hanging basket of Impatiens last year. This year I planted them again in the same pot with Miracle Grow moisture control potting soil (same as last year) I also put it in the same spot as last year with plenty of shade.

The plants look very healthy, but they haven't grown at all.

Needless to say I am very disappointed as the basket should be over flowing by now.

Do you think it was just a bad batch of plants that I purchased?

What are your weather conditions compared to last year? Impatiens love heat and humidity.
Maybe your plants were younger too. I grow my impatiens from seed and they are very slow to get going. Sometimes they just sit there for a long while and then they seem to just explode into growth.

Don't dispair. As long as the plants are healthy you'll come out one day and the pot will be full

The weather conditions are right. Thunderstorms every other day temp 85-90 during the day. The air is so thick you could cut it with a knife. South Carolina, perfect for impatiens.

Maybe the plants were younger or had a poor root system.
