pests to watch out for

I recently planted a flat of impatiens. I've noticed a few of the plants look disturbed, uprooted, or cut or eaten down.

I know it could just be the squirrels rooting around in the ground and romping about, ignorant to my plants as usual. I also was wondering, though, if deer, rabtits, turtles or chipmunks could be responsible. All are likely visitors to my yard. I haven't caught anyone red-handed yet and wasn't sure who has a reputation with these (if anyone).
