Hanging basket of Impatiens

Posted by faydom 5 (My Page) on

I made one hanging basket of Impatiens this year. I have other Impatiens that are doing fine. This one paticular basket has me concerned. The leaves are turning yellow and they have black spots on them. The soil feels wet, and it does have drainage holes. We have had a lot of rain of late and it is hanging where the rain would hit. Is it just too wet? Could I replant or move it somewhere else. Any advice? Thanks, Faye

RE: Hanging basket of Impatiens

I am guessing that the soil is too wet. Let it dry out and get it into the sun (if you can find it). Is the soil from a grower (artificial) or did you use soil from your garden? Garden soil is much heavier and holds a lot more water.
