Impatiens tip die-back

timed

Several of my species impatiens get dry dark brown/black growing tips that eventually progress down the stem, eventually killing the plant. Disease or mites or ?? Some plants also get sunken black areas on the stems that cause the growth above it to wilt and die. I tried drenching one plant in the ground with Benomyl but I'm not sure it did any good. Any ideas?
