This is the first year i thought about saving my impatiens over the winter. Should i save the whole plant in pots or just save cuttings in water. Also would it be ok for me to keep the plants in my garage and how cold of temperature can the stand. Your help is much appreciated.

RE: saving impatients

You can do both. They root very easily in moist potting soil. Be careful bringing a full plant in, bugs may hitch a ride on the plant and/or in the soil. I personally take some cutting to grow inside over winter!
