New Guinea with seed pod

I know Mr. Impatien said it was unusual for a NG to have a seed pod... but I still looked... and low and behold...

I'm pleased even though there were only 3 seeds in the pod... it's something! I can't wait for spring to see
what the seeds do! :)

BTW, totally LOVING the new guineas - starting to look a little ratty, but they've been going all summer looking
fantastic... No complaints here.

RE: New Guinea with seed pod

I got seed pods on my NGI's also! But, since I grew mine from cuttings, I have no idea how big the seeds are suppose to be. Are they tiny? The ones I got are really small, even though I didn't harvest them until the pod was at the point of bursting. Help! Do I have viable seeds???
