Are New Guinea Impatience toxic to animals?

I have just brought my beautiful New Guinea Impatience inside for winter and I have a new kitten. He seems drawn to this plant and no matter where I put he seems to reach it. I was wondering if this plant was toxic to animals?

You kitten should be fine. Though I have heard Impatiens are toxic to rabbits. You may want to get some kitty grass for your new baby. That way he could have his own plant.
