Yes That is perfect for the winter in Florida. Impatiens are perennial and will keep blooming but maybe not as much as hot weather.

You will have to guard against frost though, because the least bit will damage them

Hi
What kind of Imps?? I find the hybrids grown from seed will croak at the onset of steady warm nights, About May. NG will last a bit longer depending on how hot it stays at night. I find it best to give up around July and start up again about late Sept. They way overgrow an d get very leggy anyway.. You could certainly try oversummering cuttings Wonderful choices for the winter garden depending on Ma Nature of course . No frost and a little rain lol They really are water hogs but gorgeous in winter

Before your impatiens croak or when they get leggy, take some cuttings and start new plants. You can keep the same impatiens for years this way.

You can also cut them back when they get leggy. Fertilize and they will bush out again.

I grow them in zone 3 and I find they flower the most in August when we get hot humid weather.
