IÂve been speeding every free minute I can get outside. This beautiful weather really brings on the garden blues. I noticed a few days ago that the John Jump Ups were blooming. I picked a few and sent them to work with my son. I bet the gals he works with were surprised to see January-February Iowa flowers.

I did notice that the HostaÂs had their noses sticking out of the ground. That panics me a little. The Jump Ups are strong cold lovers, but the Hostas are another story.

Sometimes at night, when sleep isnÂt an option, I find myself planning new garden design. I have dozens of seed catalogs arriving weekly. I sit and thumb thru them over and over.

The temps are supposed to change tomorrow, back to the winter mode. Maybe, just maybe, IÂll get out of this spring dreaming state. Reality realityÂÂ..sigh
