Things are greening up

| I've been gardening a long time and I've never seen so many perennials and bulbs starting to emerge this early. I have tulips far from the house that have tips showing. I never cut off tops in one bed and some annuals like snapdragons and verbena bonariensis have new growth or the stems are still green. Some annual seeds are up, a hydrangea that always dies back to the ground has green stems with a few buds. I didn't think the winter was that mild. We have had more moisture this month and it all sinks in. Anyone else noticing this? |
