Is your seminar open to the public besides those who are master gardeners? I live in the area, and think the evening sounds very interesting, but wouldn't want to be a party crasher.

Oh... yes, yes, yes! Anything sponsored by Master Gardeners is always open to the public. In fact, they would be most pleased if you did come.

If you come up and say, "Hello" to me before the lecture, I'll make sure that you get a free plant.

Another point being indirectly made here is that there really are a lot of excellent lectures sponsored by county extension offices throughout the state. Unfortunately, many of these are not well attended. The upcoming Mary Buck lecture is just one example. Listening to insights from someone who had intimate contact with world-renowned rose breeder, Dr. Griffith Buck is an opportunity offered to a lucky few.
