Fairy Fishing Rod

Does anyone have any experience with this plant? Fairy Fishing Rod --Dierama pulcherrium (Iridaceae). The literature says it is a corm. Would it be similar to planting glads? Any info would be appreciated, my search results were disappointing.

Em,

You will often have disappointing search results if you don't spell the words correctly. Check out the search below with over 800 hits.

Emandden, I put Fairy Fishing Rod in my browser and I came up with quite a few links, but, I think this might be the kind of information you are looking for. :) I've do not have any direct experience with this plant, however, it looks like it might be sub-tropical... Let me know what you think.

Thanks for the links, we appreciate your help. This looks like an experimental plant for our zone, but that hasn't stopped us in the past. (Please don't tell my English professor about my poor spelling.)
