| About 12 years ago I researched to find the best variety of eating apple to raise in Iowa since the extension office says our state has trouble with cedar apple rust and some fireblight. I chose a Liberty that time, but then had to move before the tree bore fruit! So I never got to try it out - bummer. While it was growing, the tree looked healthy.
Also in 12 years, maybe something else has come along that's better. What's the latest news?

| Sorry I can't help you; your post has been here a long time. Did you ask over on the Fruit and Orchard forum? Maude |

| Thanks for responding -- yes, I did post over at the Fruit forum and got some responses. I ordered a Liberty apple from Adams County nursery in Pennsylvania and am very happy with the tree they sent. It's blossoming right now and looking sturdy and energetic. |
