Garden Crops featured on new US Stamps

OK, this isn't a traditional garden message. But, along with playing in the dirt, I've been a philatelist since I was a Boy Scout.

The US Postal Service has issued a new 20 stamp booklet of 39¢ stamps that feature garden "Crops".

There's Corn, Beans, Squashes, Sunflower & seeds and best of all...Chili Peppers. You get 4 each of the five stamps.

Check 'em out at your local PO.

Aren't they wonderful?! I had to buy two - one to use and one to keep :)

i like the idea of plants on the stamps but i'd rather have beautiful flowering trees or flowers! love the idea, though.

I like the stamps, too. I think the idea is that these are native to the Americas, whereas most other plants originated somewhere else.
The USPS site tells about all the stamps they sell. Here's a link to the Crops of the Americas set.
