2009 Spring Swap

| Save Saturday, June 6, 2009 for the Spring Swap. Details on the Exchanges page. It's a casual swap - no rules. Just pot up your volunteers and divisions as you work through your garden this spring, and bring them to the swap. Gardening magazines and books, garden decor, tools, and other stuff are also welcome. The trades are made between the individual participants, so you and your bargaining partners can make any arrangements that you wish. It's not necessary to make the trades before the swap, although some people do that for certain items that they really want.
When you know what you are looking for or what you have to share, you can post it with the Spring Swap message on the exchanges page. If you choose not to post, just bring your plants and come see what you get.

| Also, where is this? I have a major surplus of kona coffee seedlings. I thought I was ordering 10 seedlings online, but they sent ten bundles of seedlings, and I was able to separate the bundles into individual plants, so I basically have a plantation ;). I'll probably also have some surplus vine peaches and cinnamon basil. I could also dig some mint and this tasty, pale-green lettuce that volunteers each year (I always let it go to seed after it bolts). I may or may not have surplus tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants. Have plenty of extra seeds to swap. |

| karenrei, You can find the Exchanges page link at the top of this list of posts. Look for the heading On Topic Discussions: [Switch to Exchanges]. The swap is in Washington, which is about 34 miles south of Iowa City. Once you're sure you are coming, let me know and I'll send you directions. Your list sounds like a great beginning! I'm glad you're interested. |
