Elderberry

I was wondering if anyone had a source for Elderberry, Sambucus Canadensis? They are native to Iowa and I would love to find one for my backyard, trying to encourage more birds!

Even though we have many bird feeders. We moved our elderberry away from the house. The birds left stains on driveway, autos and house. The plants grow wild all over Iowa county.

Nature Hills Nursery in Omaha, NE has them for sale on their website .... naturehills.com $10 to $14 each, less if you buy 4 or more.

Every time I hear some one talk about elderberry. I think of the play/movie "Arsenic and Old Lace".

Where two spinster aunts have taken to murdering lonely old men by poisoning them with a glass of home-made elderberry wine laced with arsenic, strychnine and "just a pinch" of cyanide.

Here is a link that might be useful: Nature Hills info

Thanks for the replies, will check out the link. Oh, so they will be as obnoxious as Mulberries? LOL
