I was so focused on covering my tomatoes that I forgot about everything else. My watermelon looks a bit worse for wear, but it'll probably perk up with this upcoming warm weather. But I also forgot about my banana tree! I can't believe I forgot about it! Its leaves now have brown streaks. Hopefully it'll recover, too! :)

Watermelon looks worse today :( I'm putting it on intensive care -- removed bottom leaves and shielded it from the sun with aluminum foil. I'll take the foil off after a couple days when, hopefully, it'll have either started to recover on some leaves or started some new ones. Don't want it to dry out in the meantime.

My tomatoes made it through fine. I hope your watermelon plants recover, karenrei. A buddy from work lost all of his tomatoes & peppers. I only have cucumbers left to plant. I'm not to worried about the late start, I'm sure there will be more than enough time & fruits. We have tomatoes, eggplant, Green, Ancho, Jalepeno, & Chili peppers. Mixed greens & escarole for salads, Leeks, 2 varieties of Green beans, peas, and an herb garden with Curly & flat leaf parsley, Thyme, Oregano, Basil, & fern leaf dill. Good Gardening to all!
