Des Moines Backyard Beekeepers - June 3

I received an e-mail from a friend about a meeting for beekeepers and people interested in keeping bees. Quote:

Greetings to you all,

The Des Moines Backyard Beekeepers group is being resurrected! We will be meeting on Thursday, June 3, at 7 p.m. inside the Starbucks at Merle Hay Rd. and Douglas Ave. -- it's in front of the mall.

I'd like to have everyone meet face to face so we comfortable with each other, then we'll talk and see what direction we'd like the group to take. If you know someone else who is interested in beekeeping, have them meet us there.

Julia-- I will be getting my first bees on the 14th of April from Perry, Iowa. This is our first try at keeping bees. I was wondering if their is anyone who could help us get the bees in to get started. I have watched Utube videos but I am still a little neverous about it. I live on Pioneer road by Pioneer park which is on the south side of Des Moines. We have everything we need just need to put the queen in and the bees. thank you Judy 490-5374
