Just wanted to see if I could successfully post garden pictures here (if no picture appears, guess not). If you see anything, the azaleas are blooming, if not I'll just tell you they are right pretty this year.

Well foof! Computer code leaves something to be desired in the visual sense... oh well.

Don, I've been trying to post pictures for a while, too, with no luck. I think I finally understand why. The photo needs to be on a server somewhere, not just in the body of the message or on our computers. If you subscribe to an online photo service like WebShots or flickr.com, the you upload the photo there, and post a link to that site. I'm going to try it and see what happens. Mary

OK, it's now about 10 minutes later, and I have a flickr.com account (Yahoo), have sized and uploaded one photo, tried to post this message and been rejected because "you already have responded to this post. Please choose another subject line." BoooH! Someone, anyone, please let me know if this link works.

OK. I uploaded some more photos, but the site has limited space, so I deleted the rose photo, so you won't find the link (above) working. When do we see that photo C:\Documents and Settings\Don Bolin\My Documents\My Pictures\51806 Garden\IMG_4488.jpg you wanted to share??

Very nice photos, can't tell for sure where you went, maybe England? I wondered what happened to the rose. Now I know :-).

That rose was in Portland OR in the Rose Garden. It's absolutely astounding to see acres of roses blooming on a terraced mountainside overlooking the city. They plant the rose beds in paralled rows, twelve plants of each kind in one bed, in a double row. There is a grassy lawn between each bed, with aisles through the middle of each 'room' of rose beds. Each 'room' has (I'm guessing here) about 20 - 30 beds, and there are maybe 8 or 9 rooms plus an ampitheater. Really amazing, and the air is !!!!
