New Nursery between I.C and Kalona

While out and about this weekend came upon a new nursery. Lady just opened this year and has only been there a couple of months. Thought I would give her a little plug here.
Blue River Perennials located on Highway One between Kalona and Iowa City - almost across from the Rug Cottage. Prices are very reasonable and lower than Iowa City. Lots of unusual plants and hard to find plants. Some of the stock is very small but in a few years it will be full size and I can be patient. She's even open on Sundays - my only day off.

UIcricket,

Isn't that where Diane's use to be? I remember hearing that someone was going to reopen up that nursery. Thanks, I'll have to wander out there on my lunch hour one of these first days. :) When it was Diane's I got a Linaria Cannon J. Went, it was the most beautiful plant, unfortunately it died the same year I put it in. I haven't been able to find it locally since. Maybe this new person will have it. ;)

Thanks for the info - I know the place. We'll have to check it out soon (as if there's room to plant anything else here!) and post a report.

OH --I miss Diana's. She grew the BEST lisanthus around. Always tall ones --always doubles.

I'll have to check out the new place.

Ok, I was having lunch with a friend today and where I thought this Blue River Perennials was is wrong. This place is not where Diane's was. Evidently, there was a nursery where Diane's was, but that has now closed, too. Blue River Perennials is a different place and my friend said it was where UICricket said, almost accross from the Rug Cottage. I stand corrected. Now, I'm curious, I will definately have to make a road trip down.. ;)
