I have some beautiful asiatic lilies blooming now that my sister who lives in Bettendorf just loves. I was thinking of digging up some of the bulbs in the Fall and sending them to her. Can she plant them in the Fall?

I've been told that the fall (after they die back) is the best time to divide them.
