Mary Lu -

Here are the directions to The Perennial Flower Farm. I don't know which direction you will be coming from so I'm putting in a couple of options. I was there last weekend and the lillies are amazing even though we were about a week early. They should be at their peak starting the 4th of July weekend. There is also a very nice selection of alpines, rock garden plants and exotics. It can be a little overwhelming on your first visit. Steve and Caroline Bertrand are a wealth of information and they can help you with darned near anything. I know their hours are 10AM-3PM on Sundays but I don't know about the rest of the week. Their phone number is 641-435-4070.

Directions #1: Highway 63 north out of Waterloo. Turn West/left on Highway 188. Turn North/right on V21 for about 5 miles. Turn Westleft on 310th Street (gravel road/street numbers will not make any sense until you cross the county line). Turn north/right on Gilmore Avenue (gravel road/about 2 miles). They are the 2nd farm on the right and have a big red barn. There are parking spots to the right when you come in.

Directions #2: Highway 218 North to Plainfield. TurnEast/right on Highway 188. Turn North/left on V14 (left). East/right on 310th Street (gravel road/about 5 miles). Turn North/left on Gilmore Avenue (gravel road/about 2 miles). They are the 2nd farm on the right and have a big red barn.
