Show us your garden!

Hello there!

I wanted to share a few pictures of our yard-in-progress. Everything was either purchased on clearance or was started from seed (including the perennials). There are still lots of bare spots but for right now, I'm happy with what we've got - especially since there was nothing but grass when we moved in. I'd love to see pictures of your gardens for inspiration and ideas. Please post!

Beautiful! Did you inherit that garden or is all your work? If so, how long? Thank you for the inspiration!

I moved into this 10 years ago, there was nothing but grass then. Just one of my hobbies

javern - absolutely beautiful! Green, full & lush

tannabanana- your's will be there in no time. Just takes patience till everything fills out.

Makes me jealous - I'm on a Nebraska hill where the wind really blows. Extremely hard on the plants!

hilltop - thank you for the encouragement! Plants have really grown and filled out even since I posted the pictures. Hoping to get another tree and some shrubs discounted this fall. :)

You can follow this link to the Google/Picasa site and take a little tour. It's rather heavy on vegetable garden pics (I'd just finished building the raised beds and was proud ;-) but there are a few other shots, as well.

Of course, the veggies don't look nearly as tidy and controlled, anymore!

Well, the gardening season is pretty much over here... time to look back at garden pictures, like May azaleas and Japanese maples.

The pictures post are so beautiful!!!!!! I'm jealous I have lots of shade or part shade in my gardens and am not sure what to plant. Your gardens are so perfect. Any good advice as to what I can add in Anamosa? Thanks for the input.
