Can you tell me why is my yarrow dying. It was doing good last week and this week it has turned brown. I watered it I think last week with pond water....would that cause it to die?

I am having a lot of die off also. It's with many varieties in the garden. I find there is a lot of earwings at the base of the dying plants. I bout some Spectracide Bug Stop Instect Control Granules. It is taking care of the earwings. Now to see what recovery is going to be like.

Is the whole plant brown or the yellow part (I am assuming it is yellow yarrow?) Mine is turning brown with age. I prune that part back. If you are as dry as we are - you may need to water more - and water deep - not just a sprinkle or douse with a bucket on top. One way to water slowly is to have a 5 gallon pail with a couple small holes in the bottom. Fill it, and let it drain near the plant base.
