Can you tell me why is my yarrow dying. It was doing good last week and this week it has turned brown. I watered it I think last week with pond water....would that cause it to die?

RE: Yarrow

I am having a lot of die off also. It's with many varieties in the garden. I find there is a lot of earwings at the base of the dying plants. I bout some Spectracide Bug Stop Instect Control Granules. It is taking care of the earwings. Now to see what recovery is going to be like.

RE: Yarrow

Is the whole plant brown or the yellow part (I am assuming it is yellow yarrow?) Mine is turning brown with age. I prune that part back.

If you are as dry as we are - you may need to water more - and water deep - not just a sprinkle or douse with a bucket on top. One way to water slowly is to have a 5 gallon pail with a couple small holes in the bottom. Fill it, and let it drain near the plant base.
