Anyone going to the State Fair?

| Heck...is anyone NOT going to the State Fair. My what crowds they are having. I just love seeing the Master Gardeners gardens. The kids always love the "tunnel" made of vines. That has to be my favorite part of the fair.
It certainly is a beautiful fairgrounds. I hope the cool weather holds until I get a chance to go.

| went to the fair today and just got home. that would be one of my favorite parts of the fair too. My kids used to play in the tunnel. I want to grow gourds around a trellis next year. |

| I went also today. Like a lot of different ways to mark your flowers. We got there very early wanted avoid the crowds. All done by 1:30-had noproblems getting in or out. I think years ago had more people selling craft things. Wanted some more bird houses. Well,will have to go over to Little Amana next weekend. . And see what they have. |

| Yes, they used to have some neat craft sales. I think it was in the house that is built into the ground? The sky ride goes over the top. It doesn't seem to be open to the public anymore. My kids used to be able to stand up and run through the tunnel, now they have to get hunched way down to get through...my how they grow..like a weed, LOL! Love the misting plaza too. I am taking my digital camera this year to capture all the wonderful ideas. My brain must need a new memory card, as I can never remember these things when I get home. I hope to go in the next day or so. |

| I went on Friday- the weather was just wonderful- the flowers and plants looked so beautiful !! And of course, the FOOD !!! Tried the new meatballs on a stick- yummy !! I'm thinking about going back tomorrow- I just love the fair !!! I love looking at all the food entries and veggies and flowers....... |
