Sunflowers

Does anyone have problems with little green buggies in their sunflowers this year? Any idea how to get rid of them? I have the sunflowers planted at the back of my garden and these little critters are just tearing the heck out of the petals. I'm afraid that if I dust them, they'll go to the veggies...HELP!

RE: Sunflowers

I have those bugs and almost all my flowers. I tried spraying with soapy water but it didn't work. I had my Cosmo blooms eaten to shreads. I live on a farm and seed corn is planted all around me. They arial sprayed and within days I was invaded. I think the spray drove them in.:( I will keep an eye out for any info . I do hope someone has a good answer.
