Where to purchase bittersweet

Hello. Would anyone here know where to purchase a male an female bittersweet in the Quad City or Muscatine area? I purchased three plants five years ago from a catalog, not realizing I needed both a male and female. Needless to say...I never have any berries. Thank you much for any information you may have!

Cindy... if you want Oriental bittersweet, which is all too often what people buy, since its berries are more showy than the native bittersweet, you can pull it by the truckload out of our woods. It is one of the worst alien invasives. We just went for a walk today by Coralville Lake, and a whole hillside that used to be covered with ferns and wildflowers is now just a jungle of bittersweet, hanging over everything like Kudzu, killing all the native plants and small trees.

Hi Don....you've got a deal! I'm sorry, though, that it's ruined a lot of your other plants. That has to be very frustrating. My email is dblj@netins.net, if you'd like to email to coordinate a time. Thank you MUCH for responding!
