Good perennial shopping in Des Moines

I just moved to West Des Moines and have not yet found a good garden center. I would prefer one that is a locally owned shop, specializing in plants that grow well in the area, rather than a chain. Thanks

Try Country Landscapes east of Ames on old highway 30, now called Lincolnway, just east of the Barilla pasta factory. They are having a sale on their perennials right now. Also try Holubs which does have a branch down in Des Moines. Maria
