Hi, just bought a home in Washington and would like to know if there's someone around who will dig up some lawn for me so I can put in a vegie garden. Thanks, Mike

Mike you might go to a local nursery and see if they know of someone that might do that. Or you might put an ad in the local paper want ads... check with neighbors, etc.

Try -- Washington Rental, 210 S. 15th, 653-7368

Neighbors are your best choice - someone probably knows someone who has a tiller.

I checked Friday's newspaper - no ads for tilling.

Are you in town or in one of the newer developments on the outskirts? (I live in Washington.)

Mike,
Welcome to Washington! Did you have any luck finding a tiller? I don't live in Washington, I actually live in Brighton but I work in Washington. I hope you found someone to help you out!!

Sorry didn't see your post. But if you go go rental place and rent sod cutter. The grass wouldn't come back so fast in the veggy area. Also my new area didn't till. Put down wet newspaper and cardboard, covered with chopped up leaves, compost and soil. Lasagne style. It did great. Mulched plants with grass clipping. Good Luck
