| If looking for perennials: Some suggestions for total shade: ferns, (lady fern, japanese painted fern, christmas fern) Monkshood, wild ginger, hardy begonia, lily of the valley, bleeding heart, sweet woodruff, coral bells, yellow archangel, lamium, solomon's seal, foam flower, primrose, trillium, vinca (common periwinkle), jack in the pulpits.
