Now There's 3 Inches H2O in Rain Guage

| Last weekend I was complaining about the spider web in my rain guage. We only had about 3/4 of an inch of rain in August in Iowa Falls.
But after the mid-day rain today...I've got 3 inches of H2O in my Brookstone rain guage.
I hope all you folks in eastern Iowa and south of I-80 get some of this free water...

There is something strange going on outside here. It's too dark for this time of day, and it sounds like there are big trucks zooming around in the air - I can even see their headlights sometimes. When I went outside I could hear gulping noises coming from the ground, and the plants look, well, clean and perky. What do you suppose it is?? Should I take a picture of it? |

About 2 hours of HARD rain. Of course I watered earlier in the day! But still helped out the dry ground. Paws |
