| It's been pretty dry here the past 5 weeks. I found a spider web inside my rain guage today.
Since I just aerated and overseeded part of my lawn...It's only green where I have watered the new seed. I thought the rains of June & July would keep coming but it looks like I was wrong. I think my overseeding project is doomed as my budget won't allow a big water bill and gasoline for the car @3.00+ a gallon. Oh ya...the property tax bill is also due this month... Too bad the county assessor won't deduct my brown lawn from my tax bill... Just trying to cheer you all up...with my thoughts of drought, gasoline prices and taxes...:-) Pete in Iowa Falls |

| Pete, You certainly get the award for the best subject line on the Iowa Forum this year. I was laughing out loud before I even opened the thread. IronBelly |

| Today... the rain guage spider web is up to the 2 inch mark and there is a small B-B sized white sphere suspended inside the web. Must be a boxed lunch for Mr Spider. Pete in I.F. |
