overwintering newly rooted hydrangea

Vicki

I have rooted a couple hydrangeas and am trying to decide what to do with them this winter. I could overwinter them in pots in my basement under lights and then plant out in spring. Or I could plant them out now and loose the present leaves and hope there is adequate root system to resprout in the spring. Right now they have only about 4 leaves each but the roots can be seen through a clear 10 oz. cup. Anyone have any experience with whether they will likely survive if I plant them out now in this area?
