Is it to late to plant Asters?

Posted by whatcheer z4 Ia (My Page) on

I ordered an assortment of Asters from Springhill about 4 weeks ago. They said they ship immediately. I just recieved the plants Saturday the 12th. They are saying freezing and snow now. I thought about digging a hole and planting pots and all. Any suggestions.

I would just go ahead and plant them. It is pretty late but what have you got to lose?

--- Just a word about Springhill. They are notorious for consistantly receiving poor reviews from customers. In fact, I don't know of any with a worse record. I hope this will not be your experience.

Thanks ironbelly, I took pictures of the plants. I'm putting them in the ground tomorrow. I think this does it for me and Springhill. I hadn't gotten anything from them before. Live and learn.

Aw, heck, Springhill is wonderful compared to Michigan Bulb... :) I do believe both of those are under new management, but I still don't plan on buying from them.
