Beneficial Bugs - for armored scale
| | |

| I'm looking for a beneficial predator/parasite for hard-bodied (armored) scale. I understand that lacewings and ladybugs will consume the soft-bodied scale. Do they also consume the armored type? Are they effective? Against the adults, too, or just the crawlers/babies?
Any recommendations?
This scale is oval-shaped, transparant, and is on clumping bamboo (B. multiplex).
Thanks!

| Dormant oil sprays are probably most effective, however some beneficials that do go after Armored Scale are predatory beetles "Chilocorus nigritus" and "Lindorus lophanthae". Parasitic wasps "Aphytis melinus" are effcetive against California red Scale and oleander scale. |
